My Own Research
I recently submitted my own study on Sports Blogging entitled "An Examination of Baseball Weblogs," to the Rochester Institute of Technology's Undergraduate Communication Conference.

This is my paper's abstract:
"An Examination of Baseball Weblogs" is an empirical study of the various functions of sports weblogs, focusing on the spread of baseball information. The paper finds that sports blogs help filter online information, extend the discussion of less-significant sports stories, offer niche information, and assist in the creation of an online sports community. Sports blogs are limited in their affect on the sports information industry and the credibility of the content is often undermined by writing style rather than actual content. Sports blogs, however, have the potential to thrive in the future because the technology is conducive to the specialized information the websites typically provide.
